Terms & Licensing

Standard service terms, delivery standards, and marketing licensing provisions applicable to real estate media bookings.

1 Copyright & Usage Licensing

In accordance with Australian copyright legislation, Joel Rodin Photography retains full intellectual property and copyright ownership of all digital media produced (including photographs, drone imagery, floorplans, videos, and virtual tours).

The commissioning client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable marketing licence to use the assets solely for the marketing and sale/lease campaign of the subject property until the property sells, is withdrawn, or 12 months pass, whichever comes first.

Commercial & Third-Party Enquiries: This residential media licence does not extend to third parties (such as builders, architects, interior designers, stagers, or future agencies). Third parties seeking to licence images for long-term commercial or portfolio use must contact Joel Rodin Photography to arrange a commercial licence agreement.

2 Delivery & Turnaround Times

Every asset is individually post-processed, color-graded, and supplied via an online delivery portal:

  • Property Photos & Drone Stills: Delivered within 2 to 3 business days following the conclusion of the shoot.
  • Floorplans & Property Tours: Delivered within 2 to 3 business days following the conclusion of the shoot.
  • Property Videos & Social Edits: Delivered within 2 to 5 business days following the conclusion of the shoot.

Images are supplied in both high-resolution formats for print brochures/signboards and web-optimised formats for portals (realestate.com.au, Domain) and social media.

3 Property Readiness & On-Site Protocol

Properties must be completely styled, tidied, and ready for photography prior to the booked arrival time.

To ensure schedule consistency for subsequent clients, I am unable to assist with cleaning, gardening, or significant furniture moving. Please ensure vehicles are removed from driveways and front verges, and pets are secured off-camera.

Minor unexpected items or clutter can be digitally removed post-shoot upon request under the Virtual Enhancements ($50 per photo) service.

4 Cancellations & Property Access

I understand real estate schedules are fluid and unexpected delays happen. I am very flexible with rescheduling, provided notice is given as early as possible.

Prior to Departure: If a shoot is cancelled or postponed before I depart for the property, no cancellation fee applies.

En-Route or Denied Access: If a cancellation occurs after I have already departed, or if access cannot be obtained upon arrival (e.g., incorrect lockbox codes, unnotified tenants refusing entry), a $200 call-out fee will apply to cover travel time, vehicle running expenses, and scheduling loss.

5 Weather & Aerial Drone Operations

Complimentary Sky Replacement: Overcast or flat skies are automatically replaced with clean blue skies across all exterior stills at no additional charge.

Drone & Inclement Weather Safety: Aerial drone operations are conducted in strict compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations. Drone flights cannot proceed in active rain, high winds, or low-visibility conditions. In the event of severe weather, exterior and drone components may be rescheduled at no additional fee.

6 Accuracy & Boundary Disclaimers

Floorplans: Floorplans and layouts are drafted for visual marketing and presentation purposes. While dimensions are captured with laser precision, plans are indicative and should not be used for legal or architectural certification.

Drone Boundary Lines & Pins: Property overlays, boundary outlines, and location pins are illustrative approximations based on council maps and cadastral data. They are not legal boundary surveys and should be advertised alongside standard disclaimer notes.

7 Invoicing & Payment Terms

All published pricing is inclusive of GST. Invoices are issued electronically via email.

Our standard trading terms are 30 days from invoice date. Depending on your agency workflow, invoicing can be set to:

  • Per Job: Invoiced upon delivery of each property campaign.
  • Fortnightly: Consolidated billing every two weeks.
  • Monthly: Statement issued at the end of each calendar month.
Account Management: Joel Rodin Photography reserves the discretion to move accounts to more frequent billing intervals (e.g., fortnightly or per-job) during periods of high job volume or when balances exceed standard credit thresholds.

8 Multi-Shoot Discount

The $100 per property discount applies strictly when two or more listings are booked on the same continuous travel route on the same day.

Significant route deviations, opposing directions, or split days constitute separate bookings and will not qualify for the discounted rate.

9 Scope, Revisions & Exclusions

  • RAW Files: To protect brand quality and photographic style, unedited or RAW files are strictly not supplied under any circumstances.
  • Revisions: One round of minor revisions is included. Additional or extensive retouching will be quoted and billed separately.
  • Talking Head Video: The social media "talking head" add-on is filmed as a single, continuous take.
  • Rush Fees: If a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround is required, a rush fee applies: $150 for stills, floorplans, land, and refresh packages; or $300 for property video and premium listings (subject to availability and prior agreement).
